Back Bending Intensive
In the practice of yoga asana, back bends help to counteract the negative effects of slouching and hunching over, while also offering the opportunity for emotional release.
This all levels workshop will use a slow and intentional vinyasa flow practice to strengthen the muscles of the back and open your chest and hip flexors, to prepare you for a variety of passive and active back bending asana. We will also cultivate a safe and nurturing space for any energetic and emotional release that may accompany your back bending practice.
Whether you are newer to the practice of back bending or already have a back bending practice, this workshop will provide multiple opportunities for the growth and expansion of your yoga practice.

Yoga4Athletes Workshop
The objectives of this workshop are simple:
Deeper understanding of how to be the best athlete/mover you can be
Greater clarity of how best to use – even adapt – your yoga class and practice for your athlete body, and the progress desired in your sport

Injury prevention or rehab, enhanced recovery and optimized sleep, greater concentration and focus, as well as marginal to maximal gains in performance, no matter your sport or level.
Designed for yoga teachers, movement specialists, athletes, coaches, trainers and parents of athletes, this program will hone your knowledge in four key performance areas:
Gaining muscle access (“patterning”)
Recalibrating rigid ideas of bilateral balance
Honing steady transitions for greater proprioception, enhanced breath and movement coordination
Understanding how important it is to “periodize” your yoga/mobility for best energy management
This program is the combination of research, science and study, blended with decades of practice, training, and working with athletes. It is designed BY athletes for athletes.
You’ll get a tip sheet with repeatable, do anywhere yoga4athletes sequences to take home with you after the workshop and yoga teachers qualify for Yoga Alliance CE credits!
Meet your guide: Leslee was one of the top cyclists in the world and even appeared in an award-winning Nike commercial. She used yoga, strength training, visualization and recovery techniques to optimize her racing career.
She subsequently combined work with top coaches at the Olympic Training Center - and on the world’s most elite teams - with deep study and research in yoga, mobility, and myofascial release to develop her successful Yoga4Athletes program.
Leslee has been a full-time yoga coach for nearly two decades, working with athletes from professional to recreational, as well as leading generalized yoga teacher trainings and studio classes - in Rochester, and across the US.

Somatic Processing
Unravel fear and tension in your body and mind. Uncover the state of wellbeing that’s underneath the noise. This transformational workshop combines movement, breathwork, and deep rest to help you tune into your nervous system and release what’s stuck. Expect space for spontaneous expression and a clearer sense of yourself by the end. You don’t need to try hard — just show up.
NOTE: Please bring a pillow for optional screaming. Before registering, please review this list of contraindications, and consult your medical provider if you have any concerns.
