Meet Tru’s Support Staff!

Sara (she/her)

Sara, or "Bash" as she's known by many in the studio, is an RYT-500. This means you might also see her subbing a class or hosting a workshop!

She is a lifelong cat mom, and has in more recent years become a dog mom. Show her pictures of your fur babies, please.

Tracy (she/her)

Tracy is a member of the Front Desk team at Tru Yoga. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Nazareth University, and her career has focused on education, empowerment, and community support.

Tru reflects Tracy’s core values around personal growth and development, and she enjoys offering a welcoming, supportive presence to the yogis in our community.

Kenya (she/her)

Kenya J is a native Rochesterian, Movement Artist, and Professional Photographer who believes movement is therapeutic, expression is a birthright, and strength is built through self-love.

Kenya is deeply honored to welcome you into our studio and nurture you within this space. Step into a Kenya’s world at www.itskenyaj.com

Krystal (she/her)

Like many, Krystal found yoga during a painful chapter in her life, where her mat became a sanctuary of healing and support. As a RYT-500 with over 900 hours of yoga training, Krystal has specialized in meditation, yoga for athletes, alignment, and yoga for children and teens. She believes deeply in the power of community and human connection, seeing them as essential elements of growth and transformation.

For Krystal, yoga is not just a practice but a way of life that continues to shape her daily routine and mindset. An avid meditator and lover of kirtan (yoga chanting/singing), she remains a dedicated student of yoga philosophy. Now, with yoga fully integrated into her life, Krystal is expanding her holistic journey by transitioning her pharmacy career to include Ayurveda, herbalism, and functional medicine.

Adair (she/they)

Adair's introduction to yoga came at the age of 12, when her mythical great Aunt Sara (who taught yoga until she was in her 90's) visited from England. She started a consistent vinyasa practice in 2011, and by 2015 she'd discovered the transformative power of kundalini yoga on her mental and physical health. Adair is a yogic omnivore trained to teach vinyasa and kundalini yoga in the Radiant Body tradition. An Ayurvedic health coach and somatics specialist, her classes often include a blend of laughter, Ayurveda, somatics, pranayama, meditation, and healing sound.

Always looking for the intersections of self- and collective care, Adair is a trauma-informed facilitator who's passionate about supporting people who want to make the world a more livable and loving place both on and off the mat. Adair's offerings are informed by her professional background as a social worker, trauma researcher, therapist, and multidisciplinary artist — and as a queer mom on the autism spectrum. She's also a singer in a boogaloo cover band.

Adair is delighted to be a part of the Tru family of teachers; she subs for yoga classes and leads a monthly Somatic Processing workshop (among other offerings) at Tru. You can connect with Adair at www.withadair.com and find Adair's writing and guided practices on Substack.

Lauren (she/her)

As a yoga teacher (RYT-200), registered nurse, and space holder, Lauren’s ever-winding path has guided her into many expressions of her curiosities as a lifelong learner. To her, yoga is a means to find connection both to oneself and others, a role that continues to fulfill her desire for spiritual exploration.

Lauren’s teaching style is thoughtful, deeply intentional, and invitational, savoring pockets of slowness so that students can arrive fully to their own unique experience.

Outside of the studio, you can find Lauren buying cosmetically-challenged vegetables from the farmer's market, reading three books at a time very slowly, or supporting the robust local business scene in Rochester, NY. And, she is on an endless quest to find the perfect Caesar salad.
